Traditional gifts around the holidays don't mean as much to a child in foster care – when all they really want is a safe place to call home and the chance to just be a kid. CASA for Children can help, but we can't do it alone.

 

Right now, there are around 2,000 vulnerable children in foster care, in our community, that do not have the benefit of having CASA, even though it is their mandated right. Children in foster care are statistically at a disadvantage of having a successful and positive life. Every child deserves the chance to a fulfilling life, so we must act now while they are still in their formative years. Navigating the foster care system is traumatic, but with a Court Appointed Special Advocate by their side, these children have a better chance of getting through the system more safely, quickly, and effectively.

A CASA can significantly help a child change the trajectory of their life and they deserve a chance.

We use our resources to recruit, train, and continuously support our volunteer advocates. Only about 1/3 of the organization's funding is provided by the state, meaning our team must work to bring in the remaining amount. Without our community's support, our work wouldn't be possible.
